Digital Versus Standard Film

One of the methods I use in achieving lower cost is through digital photography. The lower overhead, associated with digital photography, allows me to charge less than I would if I used standard film base photography. Many have argued the quality difference between film based and digtal photography, but I have discovered, through my own studies and by considering the advancement of today's technology, that digital's quality is unwavering, if not equal to film base photography. In many cases, I feel it is superior. Both create fantastic works of art, but the occasional problems encountered with digital are fewer and more easily corrected than the difficulties with standard film. Film negatives can easily become damaged by heat, scratching, bending, poor storage, etc. Also, having copies made of standard film negatives can be quite costly. However, digital photography is easily stored on hi resolution CD's, which are more resistant to damage, while your photos can be easily re-printed anytime*. Since I retain a copy of your prints on CD, additional prints, or CD's can efficiently be reproduced at your request in the event that yours becomes lost, or damaged in any way.
