Evans Photography is owned and operated by Rick Evans of Clearfield, Pennsylvania. As a photographer with an artistic eye for atmosphere and detail, I use twenty years of knowledge and practical application to provide the utmost quality and service to suit my customer’s needs. I place your expectations, for capturing the moments you wish to cherish, first and foremost, and will do everything I can to ensure your occasion, or special day is all the more extraordinary, with the highest quality of images possible, at a lower cost to you. If you have any special requests, or considerations not mentioned in the photo packages I provide, please feel free to ask.
I understand the constant rise in cost of living, and felt it necessary to convert to digital photography considering there is less overhead cost in the digital market, of which, enables Evans Photography to keep prices low for you. With digital, the photo quality is truly phenomenal and if there is a problem, the situation is much easier to correct, and again, less costly. Also, with digital photography, the opportunities of saving photos to disk is much more sensible, and in most cases, more reliable than depending on retaining negatives. Negatives can be scratched, melted, burned, bent, or easily lost, while making copies of the negatives themselves can be quite expensive. Sure, computers and digital equipment can be faulty, but I have found that this occurrence is rarer than the problems and issues encountered in film based photography.
I am a professional photographer who thoroughly enjoys photographing the life events of others, and I pride myself for paying special attention to detail, quality and service. Rick Evans
Rick Evans was born in Clearfield, PA in May of 1972 to the parents of Bill and LaRee Evans. He embarked upon his photographic journey at the age of eight using every instamatic camera he was entitled to. From Kodak 126's, 110's and to the eventual disc cameras, very little escaped his notice as he captured every moment in pictures. In the spring of 1989, Rick thoroughly absorbed a high school photography class and was rewarded a fully manual 35mm Minolta SLR from his uncle, Rick Parks. Fully armed with his first true camera, Rick embarked upon his own personal study of photography, its different styles and to what is involved in composing a great photo. Through this study and practical application, Rick has developed his own eye and style for photography by incorporating the world around us, and utilizing as much natural lighting as possible. With the advent of digital photography, he realized the endless possibilities and advantages in continuing his study and exploration in an ever evolving art. With this dedication, along with great prompting from friends and family, Rick developed Evans Photography with the goal of providing the utmost in quality and service for potential customers, at a lesser cost to them.
Rick presently resides in Clearfield with his wife Julie and son Samuel.
